Overview

The Mochi AI Web Screening allows candidates to complete a short, structured online interview— powered by Mochi’s AI — so recruiters can quickly identify top profiles based on consistent, data-backed insights.

This screening replaces or complements traditional phone screens for high-volume or early-stage roles, giving recruiters time back while maintaining a fair and engaging experience for candidates.

Our web screening an alternative to our telephone screening method.

Purpose

  • Automate early-stage screening using structured questions and AI scoring.

  • Reduce bias through standardized assessment criteria.

  • Accelerate screening without sacrificing quality or candidate experience.

  • Enhance insights with summaries and highlights directly in Mochi.

How it works

  1. Candidate Invitation

    • Once a candidate applies to a job posting, Mochi automatically sends them a web screening invite via email.

    • Reminders are automatically managed by Mochi.

  2. AI Evaluation

    • Mochi analyzes responses for clarity, relevance, and alignment with role-specific competencies.

    • It provides a scoring summary, key highlights, and recommendations visible in the candidate’s profile.

  3. Recruiter Review

    • Review Mochi’s analysis and the candidate’s original responses in the dashboard.

    • Make a go/no-go decision or tag for further review by the hiring manager.

Best Practices

✅ Use the AI web screening for roles with large applicant volumes or clear skills criteria.
✅ Always personalize at least one open-ended question to reflect the specific role or culture.
✅ Review both the AI summary and the candidate’s raw answers before deciding.
✅ Communicate outcomes promptly

Troubleshooting

If a candidate reports technical issues or you’re missing a report:

  • Resend the invite if needed.

  • Contact [email protected] if a report hasn’t generated after 24 hours.
